Welcome to the new homepage of SAREX. In here you will find information and topics on all our ongoing Search and Rescue Exercises (SAREXs), new technologies and training. Our main objective is to provide an opportunity to exercise cooperative SAR plans and procedures while realizing such exercises benefit all participants by identifying shortfalls in response plans and recommending corrective action(s) prior to an actual SAR occurrence. As well, this provides a catalyst to foster inter-agency cooperation, team building and familiarization for all personnel. Exercising and analyzing training also gives us the opportunity to develop new SAR technologies which could possibly assist us during real operations.
